GPAH Resource Centre Limited was established in Sept 2019 and is committed to ena-ble people with learning disabilities and/or mental health problems to live the lifestyle of their choice in their own accommodation. The support we offer to our service users is tailored to each individual’s needs and can range from supporting people around the clock to just a few hours a day. The service us-er’s interests and needs are at the forefront of our Service and we are determined to assist people to receive flexible support in the way that suits them best.

Amira Shah

Amira Shah is the director and nominated Individual of the company. I have completed my M. Phil in Investment Banking from University of Gloucestershire, London. I have worked as entrepreneur in the corporate sector for a number of years.

Passionately interested in Social Services since an early age, I opened the ‘Sweet Home Active Handicappers Sanctuary’ in 2008 in Banigala, Islamabad, Pakistan, a free living home for the elderly and young. It was a complex need centre, where were dealt multiple issues of medical and psychological needs, as trauma or physical disorders, as well as ethical and moral, including homelessness, poverty, drugs. It was the first ever successful centre in the town which facilitated many people to re-start an honoured independent life. They thus became productive and successful society-members with dignity and respect.

Later in 2010 in the same town, was launched ‘Shahs Welfare Society’. It dispensed better services, as schooling for young boys and girls in the morning session. The poorer sector and handicapped children received medical treatment and free education till primary level in the afternoon, including outside visits on week-ends. Solitary elders held regular meetings, while drug addicts were also helped to re-build their future path-ways. Also we protected young girls from early forced marriages, as well as recovering both male and females from domestic violence, assuring them a safe-stay for the future. They were also provided training courses, so that they could create their own earning potentials, thus to be able to lead a respectable independent life.

Such a practical working experience at grass-root level over 15 years, gave me the opportunity to establish GPAH Resource Centre in 2019 in London, with the same passion and commitment to serve and deliver at the best possible level.
